Leisure isn’t just relaxation anymore; it’s a status symbol. ال more unattainable و luxurious it appears, ال more desirable it becomes. Influencer culture و media sell leisure activities و lifestyles as Veblen goods, ال more extravagant و exclusive, ال better. These curated lives, appearing carefree و glamorous, promise a taste من something that’s structurally unattainable لـ everyone. They craft an illusion, designed الى generate engagement و consumer spending, not genuine fulfillment or relaxation.

It’s a good that doesn’t deliver على ال high quality part من ال deal. Pay ال high price لـ cheap status, و pay no mind الى ازاي much you lose, or who you sacrifice. This leisurely fetish, though, من unlikely web3 + ذكاء اصطناعي influencers, pranksters assaulting strangers لـ views, و authoritarian frauds once wrapped في maxi flags, now letting their masks slip off, is not as simple as that.

True leisure, surplus time, agency, wealth, و power, remain a myth الى be idolized while we’re left holding bags filled مع a perpetual sense من inadequacy.

But, what’s wrong مع passive income و wanting الى have a good time, without worry about ال media intensified doom spiral من ال day, ال hour, ال 15 second TikTok clip? Nothing, at all.

ال IMMEDIATE DANGER: PROJECT 2025

As if Trump supporters are ال persecuted minority. Is it a translation error? Sarcasm that didn’t land? Or just a clumsy joke?

Again, Vitalik has a good, concise, if understated response لـ those who’ve convinced themselves it’s all okay as long as they claim الى be crypto-friendly:

If he wins, على day one, ال Insurrection Act will be used الى deploy ال military against peaceful protests و… ليه not declare martial law while they’re at it? A militarized state where democratic freedoms are violently crushed, echoing ال darkest periods من world history.
