Community Updates for the Fall Fashion Season

DIGITALAX post image

Why do we do the work that we do?

How does a creator sell web3 fashion when market noise is expanding as fast as new open diffusion models are bringing down barriers to popular creative prompting, open source design tools, micro-manufacturing and distribution?

Why fashion? Why web3?

Are AI art and open synth models good for fashion?

What really are NFTs anyway?

Look back at recent deeper thoughts on this here.

As we enter into fall, we have been working simultaneously to rebuild the realms contracts post merge, more modular micro-interfaces, open source community research/decentralise-it-yourself features, and a new realms marketplace aggregator and NFT indexer. Greater realms integration with mini-maps for virtual, latent and IRL spaces are also in the works.

For the value of the one open metaverse, many decentralized realms blueprint to fully breakout above wider market trends, realms contracts are in need of a refactoring, with an eye towards integration of new features and lightweight default frontend themes.

That’s why in the past month, we entered solo into ETHGlobal with Inari Synth (finishing as 1 of 14 finalists, out of 1700 hackers), a live dApp showing how much cooler Lens and Stable Diffusion are when they work together.

Further, as part of a broader push to highlight the best open source community research in image synthesis and web3, we put out the first version of DIY Synth .

We have released V1 of Simulacra — a NextJS, Typescript, and Tailwind theme that can flexibly integrate NFTs from a multitude of marketplaces and contracts.

These updates each serve as a key part of the foundation for the DIGITALAX marketplace and realms refactor.

We are also highlighting the release of web3 fashion collections making active use of image synthesis, starting with how we are doing it ourselves, like The Various Chances and Lens Culinaris State of Mind , from the F3M Realm.

- Open source zero waste pattern engineering Blender plugin - Machine learning fashion segmentation notebook - Local notebooks and model training for fashion synthesis - DIGITALAX flagship upgraded interface - Realms upgraded interfaces - Updated governance and key-based staking contracts

A key part of what’s active in the dev pipeline is a different take on how marketplace aggregation and NFT indexing works. We’re not convinced Open Sea, Coinbase NFT and SudoSwap are leading the industry in the right direction, which naturally will be one where open source protocols, DIY interfaces, and APIs for self sovereign social mobility and unlimited creativity win out.

Bull or bear, it’s clear there is a lot in the works.
