• What are the Pro Leagues?
ESPA is our casual esports platform under the DIGITALAX ecosystem that allows players to start earning a livelihood stream through $MONA, where they can level up from amateur to pro and have their digital fashion skin NFTs authenticate and underwrite all of their activity within both the specific in-game tournaments and the ESPA meta game. We went live with our Among Us mod tournaments in March and recently just released the Minecraft Bed Wars tournaments and so far it’s been a pretty big hit with all of our players!
The players level up through different tiers where they unlock $MONA and also must complete outfit recharges to continue their longevity in the casual esports meta-game. As well as $MONA, players also earn XP that is collected overtime as they accrue and hold their $MONA and also reach certain tiers within the specific game. Holders of XP and also those that have achieved specific ranks are eligible and chosen for what is called the “ pro-leagues ”. These matches are usually team based and have higher $MONA payouts upon winning.
We held our first pro-league matches for the ESPA Minecraft Bed Wars tournaments Saturday June 19th across two 2 hour sessions for 4v4 matches, streamed over the ESPA Twitch , and had the 40 top players from the week leading up to the league go head to head as they suited up for battle! It was a big success with 3 tied winners in the first session and 2 tied in the second session! Well done to our winning players; @Costifox, @Gaamin, @Someone, @Techno Goon, @AndyIsHot !
See you next Saturday, and keep grinding this week players to make those tiers!
• When is there the next actionable update regarding PODE V2?
There is the next update regarding PODE V2 being announced this week. It’s an actionable update with clear instructions of what is the next steps required from the PODE holders. Stay tuned!
A few people found themselves in a bit of a pickle… (Okay, I know that that’s been used so many times for this case but I couldn’t help myself! 😆). 10,000 minted on the blockchain and the promise of just a fucking pickle . That’s it.
The pickle NFT saga certainly made meme oscillations all over twitter, but, it also divulges deeper contemplations within the NFT space about the accommodation for different operating procedures and the tolerance of the broader community to new viable ways that projects/teams/individuals can maneuver within this space; whether it be conceived as right or wrong is another question. And this is the thing, although from the outset the Pickle project looks very much like a complete degen no-goer, that also might be jumping the gun too quickly? (But, probably? not) Could these pickle holders potentially grow into a flourishing decentralised community/organisation with common values and a driven mission… around pickles? Who knows? I guess we will have to wait and see. But remember, be careful out there— experimentation comes with caveats.
Here are some tweets, videos and posts to sink into;

I am sure that most of us heard of the Titan story this week— an ultimate degen algorithmic meme stablecoin on Polygon that got completely rug pulled when the economic mechanism behind the algorithm broke sending the coin to absolute zero . It’s been coined as the “billionaire” rug pull in relation to Mark Cuban’s involvement in farming the coin on polygon for gainz, and then, like everyone else, losing everything that he put into it.
DeFi, crypto, NFTs are all on the bleeding edge and because of that, these industries are still experiencing all kinds of growing pains as they continue to be developed, adopted and matured. And the best solution to riding this wave is making sure that we all educate ourselves properly. Ryan Sean Adams lays out the facts pretty well in his latest Bankless article. He makes a really good point; we don’t need regulations or regulators telling us what is and isn’t safe, secure, good. Instead, we all need to take responsibility for our skin in the game and stay properly educated. That’s why high quality content is so important in this space— it’s very easy for a newcomer, or anyone for that matter, to be quickly pulled off target. In fact, that’s literally why DIGITALAX started DIGIFIZZY , our metaverse magazine!
