• When are the next announcements around Fashion x DeFi, the new $MONA allocation and the NFT vested composite product?
The Fashion x DeFi announcements are coming up at the start of this week, there were some delays with deployment on Polygon. We are super excited to start bringing all of this forward and level up the entire ecosystem. A lot of questions were discussed in the community calls and text AMAs that we held last week around the new $MONA allocation and the NFT vested composite product. • Are there opportunities for the community to become more involved with key discussion points within the project?
This was a common question asked across the community calls. And, it’s a really great question. Because, although DIGITALAX is a concentrated team at the moment, we have always stated from day 1 that as we continue to underwrite more value for the ecosystem and carry it forward, we are also preparing it to become a truly decentralised network of creators, designers, players, modders, developers, crypto enthusiasts, metaverse dwellers— where the $MONA and NFT token holders within our community can have an active stake in growing, capturing and recirculating the value brought into the protocol from the massive opportunities available to us.
With the upcoming DeFi focus, and as we mentioned in the Major Ecosystem Update , over the next week we are making a number of public community proposals across varying DeFi grants and governance forums, aligning directly with our Fashion x DeFi merger. As part of this, the support and active vocalism of the entire DIGITALAX community is essential, and we will be making more announcements around some of these key discussion topics.

DIGITALAX often speaks to modding being a major source of value for the metaverse, digital culture and more. The ability to remix, reshape, reform content is incredibly powerful for maintaining interoperability in a constantly dynamic field. Cultural movements always start here.
NFTs can’t be a greater fool cascade. It’s not about locking content up and freezing digital assets so that their value and usage is even more limited than what the current web2 internet allows. Rather, it’s about providing extreme transparency across every point of exchange so that creators don’t have to worry about mods, because new business models like fractional royalties, secondary commissions and direct to market sales creates so much more value that can then only be compounded by a virtuous cycle of activity and productivity. Derivates reinforce the value of original content, in fact they are often what makes the market around the original content; from creating new jobs, livelihoods, to increasing reach, cultivating greater appeal and ultimately furthering general market activity and sentiment.
So, with the latest updates around NFTs and copyright; specifically Lava Labs and their impulse to overly control the narrative of Crypto Punks and all of its crazy derivates, it begs the question, do they not want Punks to become a truly global phenomenon?

Well, decentralised tech today certainly isn’t the real web3 that we all want. However, c’mon Jackson, seriously? You’ve told us many times how salty you are about Doge. I’m not saying that cartels don’t exist in the world and aren’t a serious problem for all economies, but, to throw decentralisation off of a cliff like this when you have benefitted so much from it… Cui bono?
