• How can I support $MONA whitelisting on Bancor Protocol?
We go to snapshot vote in just a few hours for whitelisting $MONA token on Bancor AMM with a 150K BNT co-investment proposal. This will allow for single sided $MONA staking with BNT rewards! Last time we were so close (99.44% in favor). Let’s all do our part to reach quorum and bring it home!
In order to vote for or against the $MONA whitelisting on Bancor you will need to stake your vBNT. Follow the instructions here;
• Go to the “Swap” tab on the Bancor page and connect with your wallet. If you already hold BNT tokens, you can swap them for vBNT on this page. (2 transactions — approve and confirm). If you don’t own any BNT yet, you can directly purchase vBNT tokens (you can also go through a more complicated route via ETH/USDT/USDC >> BNT >> vBNT).

Top Controversies in the Industry
As most of us have probably heard, one of the most critical crypto regulation vs innovation controversies is currently undergoing debate by the US Senate. A poorly written provision included in the must-pass bipartisan infrastructure package is broadening the definition of what is considered a “broker” to also include miners, devs, engineers, stakers and anyone else interacting with the crypto economy who regularly transfers digital assets i.e. almost everyone is included under this, forcing them to turn over information to the IRS and so imposing almost unworkable reporting requirements.
There is a balance to be had between the interest by regulators, policy makers, governments in wanting to provide more accurate and better reporting methods for financial transactions within crypto in order to reduce scams, hacks or other user-harmful use cases. However, when this is approached in a way that threatens to destruct the entire web3 ecosystem and everyone within it, it completely runs counters to what was being set out to protect in the first place. In fact, it creates a whole cascade of both obvious and hidden vulnerabilities that are far more dire to the entire economy, destroying any potential of building a decentralised internet for realising the unfilled promise of our current system. Crypto, blockchain, DeFi, NFTs are all tools that can be leveraged by anyone to create their own self sustaining path to a better life and tangible value.
Thoughtful regulations are required to further support the space, rather than the implementation of brick and mortar rules that fail to understand or address how the technology works.
