With the release last week of the first open source, open model image synthesis diffusion project, Stable Diffusion, which is fully competitive in quality with closed source, closed licensing leaders like DALLE-2 and MidJourney, the era of creative scarcity is now officially over.
Anyone who has put in the time to study effective prompts and put the most useful notebooks through their paces on Google Collab, Hugging Face or their local powerhouse GPU machines, has instantly seen how shockingly good Stable Diffusion is at returning exceptional content in less than one minute per iteration.
The interesting money is now on all of the infinite possibilities narrowing to tangible, immediate implementations for other complementary essential tools in the creative production ecosystem.
In keeping with the more general refactoring that we have been engaging in throughout the DIGITALAX ecosystem, we are of course also racing to integrate SD and image synthesis in general into the protocol and the overall web3 fashion collection, creation, usage, diffusion and distribution cycle.
• A brand new flagship site + general ecosystem interface upgrade.
• Greater integration of Lens protocol functionality for increasing decentralisation of social media and content distribution.
• A growing wave of material and features in support of creators and collectors using NFTs in a microfactory co-op IRL and virtual creative production context.
• Enhancements to the transformation of Maps tooling from how charting territories and histories have been architected in the web2 past towards pioneering more of what maps mean in web3.
• The initial release and integration of Renewables.
This means taking a pause on the current Snapshot voting whilst we put into place an exciting new CC0 image synthesis based daily auction curatorial vote.
The goal here is pretty straightforward: increase high quality CC0 content in the market + add a new dimension to staking.
Every few days a new vote will go live on Snapshot that will include a curatorial selection of various CC0 image synthesis candidates. Token holders can vote on which among the selection are put up for daily auctions.
Successful daily auction sales replenish both the DIGITALAX Treasury and the Staking pools.
This new governance structure will go live towards the end of September.
