Welcome to Week 0 of #FUDFAQ. A weekly community based thread where we cover top question of the week, most common repeat questions, top controversies for the industry and silly fails and trolling.

• How does an endeavour intending to maximise decentralisation actually achieve it in a way that balances core principles, sustainable accelerating momentum and sound development practices?

We covered the mindset behind DIGITALAX’s approach in an article we released earlier in the week; Decentralised Cathedral and the NFT Bazaar . For the TL;DR view, it’s all about how you balance and manage open source systems along with effective social coordination and prioritisation. DIGITALAX’s approach is to do both— constant testing in live production all of the time and deep R&D for punctuated breakthroughs that catalyse the intended results. The most important piece of this is to fine tune while in motion to allow for the market appetite to tell us how well we are doing and where to concentrate attention. This process shows us when the balance tilts too much towards favoring one cohert of positive goals over another. At times it might we need to encourage more Whale activity and at other times it might mean we need to more radically expand the base. Most of the time we are trying to do both simultaneously.

• Should you expect a 10x investment after 3 months?

This is not financial advise, but in my experience it is not likely, but it also depends on what that investment is and whether or not it is a long term investment. If it is long term and you believe in the fundamentals then diamond hands.

Well, maybe not the top controversy, but something interesting and I thought it was important to share my experience. I am not a Clubhouse frequent but joined an NFT.tips room on Thursday as a speaker. The conversation was centered around the pros, cons, differences across the various marketplaces and platforms Artists can choose to release their work on. I was actively shut down from the room for bringing up truthful facts about the state of certain marketplaces and the industry.

Of course Opensea is one of the biggest and most easily accessible marketplaces in the industry and a great gateway for NFT newbies. Like any platform in the space, including DIGITALAX, we are still learning, growing as we build and developing best practices for operating on the bleeding edge of a fast paced and constantly evolving industry.

When Artists upload their content on Opensea it is easily editable through the front end even after the NFT has been minted or transferred. None of the metadata is actually included in the minting and even if an Artist provides an IPFS link, that link can be changed and swapped out.

This is a problem when we are headed into mainstream adoption and often overusing terms like “immutable” and “authentic”. Of course these are core features of NFTs, but we should bring transparency around the state of the technology and the promises, expectations and experience being delivered. Bringing more voices around key improvement areas is something that should be highlighted and welcomed, “given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow”.

This is not really a silly fail or troll…. but it was too good not to share! 😂 I think SNL might have got this one right 🤔
