• What’s on the roadmap for July/Q3 for DIGITALAX?
Gosh, 2021 has moved lightning fast. The past 6 months has seen large structural changes in not only the broader crypto, NFT and DeFi markets, but also very much so within DIGITALAX— our roadmap thus far has been jam packed with new deployments, integrations and strengthening across every fundamental aspect of our ecosystem; from fashion, gaming and commerce, to the decentralised infrastructure that we build and centre our entire economy upon; technology and values inclusive.
Since launch, the ecosystem has grown and scaled out as expected, and our next big update will be announced at the start of this coming week. This next move is specifically around furthering the utility, liquidity and interoperability of our token, operations, products and ecosystem beyond how it is recognised today. The strategy we take is a deliberate approach on many levels simultaneously, in order to support the long term growth of the ecosystem and continue the opening of the playing field for more compounding progress to come.

• How does anyone join the Global Designer Network?
We recently expanded our Global Designer Network to include hundreds of highly skilled digital and physical fashion designers that are passionate and aligned with our mission for building out the fabric of web3 fashion and everything that this entails; from gaming, esports, NFTs, DeFi, crypto, DAOs, open source etc. etc.
This network is being crafted into a real DAO. We have a dedicated Global Designer Network discord, where the community is growing and collaborating— from our weekly designer calls to other news and updates collectively being actioned.
The first bigger designer network update is being announced this coming week and it is pretty exciting!

Top Controversies in the Industry
This announcement is interesting to say the least. Worldcoin is a newly launched project establishing a globally distributed crypto UBI that intends to prove the unique “human-ness” of each recipient through their eye scanning device— collecting sensitive biometric data and converting this into numerical identifiers.
It’s certainly a different approach that is being taken to ensure the legitimacy of users than other live UBI-crypto hybrids, like that of Kleros and Proof of Humanity. However, the primary controversy comes when acknowledging the privacy implications. Biometric data is extremely sensitive and as of yet Worldcoin hasn’t provided confidence and assurance on how exactly they are planning to properly protect users against these vulnerabilities. Moreover, with high profile web2 investor names backing the project, strong questions are being raised about the adherence to decentralisation, where it appears that although the project might be “building on blockchain”, these principles aren’t being effectively cascaded to the parts of the project where it really matters; power and value control.
Silly Fails and Trolling
We’ve seen a fair share of unique community/club membership style NFT drops the past few weeks; from the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club to other less media exposed projects. And, one project out of these certainly deserves a shoutout. But not for quite the reasons that you’d expect. We won’t comment on the fundamentals, team, philosophy, expected successful (or not) projection of this project…because, tbh, we don’t really know much about it/them.
But, what we can say is that their marketing and communications is perpetually persistent in ensuring that the broader NFT discord communities stay up to date across all of their significant minting events. Shoutout to mmtiglioglu from the United Punks Union project for giving the DIGITALAX discord community over 28 updates in the past 14 days. You are certainly ensuring that we stay in the loop 😆 .
