• Why did you write the RTFKT Rugpull article?
NFTs have created new opportunities for creators, artists, designers globally. One of the biggest innovations of this new technology and subsequent market is the removal of the middleman. Creators can directly distribute to their buyers, users, consumers, fans without having to be subject to intermediaries.
However, with that said, this does not mean that the standard of quality, work or commitment to a buyer should ever be compromised. As a platform enabling creators, DIGITALAX upholds this standard.
Unfortunately, in the case of the RTFKT MetaJacket drop, the standard was cast aside in favor of expediency, with a clear lack of care and respect to the buyers. This was made apparent through communication or more like, utter disregard and lack thereof.
All efforts to give the team the benefit of the doubt were worn thin after over 6 weeks of non-responsiveness, leaving no choice but to interpret their actions as disingenuous from the start. Their reactions to the post sadly reinforce this interpretation. Rather than simply prioritising what happened, there was new deflection to Decentraland and also a stark contrast between their messages in public vs private in reaction to the post.
As a platform, upholding the integrity of delivery for the buyers, we are just glad that something is finally happening now that it has been brought into the light.
