• When will more information be released on the first stage of governance mechanics for DIGITALAX?
The DIGITALAX governance forum is now live at gov.digitalax.xyz . We have started proposals across four key categories during phase one, underwriting key parts of the ecosystem;
• Inter DAO Web3 Fashion Collaborations
• Wayfare DAO & Squad Inclusions
• GDN Weekly Designer Spotlight
• GDN Purveyors Cross Functional Parties
For more information on each of these verticals, see here. A few of the first proposals will be live today in a few hours! Also, more details will be shared in a few hours on the governance mechanics between $MONA and Genesis MONA NFT holders.
Stay tuned as we enter this next really exciting stage for web3 fashion and progressive decentralisation as an entire ecosystem!
• DIGITALAX and Marketing? 🧐
There have been a lot of opinions on this topic and it serves for great discussion. But I’d say that is the wrong question to be asking. More importantly, a better question to ask is; what is marketing in web3 and what kind of marketing works for building a real ecosystem?
Well, it’s certainly not telegram pump and dump shills, basic paid web2 influencer and publishing media, or some other version of creating and playing in a web2 facade. Because, although that might make token go up for a little while, after some time, token will come down and stay down.
Instead, we are building value for the long term. That means cultivating community first, last, and always. It means being savvy about networks and how to build trust between members of those networks. It means party formation and decentralised coordination for greater squad wealth. And, it is also everything that we have been and continue to work on day in and day out, particularly the almost daily blog posts and updates, the always on flow of conversations on the discord, twitter and other strong community channels.
Also, $MONA governance is now live! You can start proposing on the forum and take more the expansion of our marketing reach in some tangible part, into your own hands.
Web3 is an extensible framework for creating massively multi-user, economically strong applications; and, at the heart of web3 is the essential component of governance. Web3 governance, if done right, aligns interests on a decentralised multi-jurisdictional basis and illegitimises systems that are susceptible to corporate takeover through effectively balancing the tension between decentralisation, community and creativity. Decentralised governance empowers everyone within an aligned community with autonomy and ownership; where members are able to directly contribute and receive value, using their own judgement and discretion, rather than having this be demanded by a centralised hierarchy.
Governance challenges within web3 are still rife; everything from speculative token buying for coin voting, anti-democratic leadership with too much “whale” control over a project, direct attacks from malevolent actors with misaligned intentions, to the inability to maintain engagement for reaching quorum. However, if these challenges are overcome and effectively accounted for, then the upside that DAOs are able to capture and further boost, whilst minimising the downside, over traditional organisations is absolutely tremendous.
A real DAO is a global, passionate on-demand community that is formed around a motivating and overarching just cause. It’s an incredible mutli-faceted talent source for min-maxing squad wealth, whilst keeping self sovereignty for each member and thus leveraging P2P networks to catalyse what otherwise would not be possible, or much harder to achieve if attempted alone.
Optimising governance within communities and DAOs is not just a matter of using some “decentralised tech tools”. It can be easy to simplify them into a few easy steps, but frankly, building a real DAO means using the tech as a feature; not a roadmap, step by step guide or trajectory reference. Because, after all, it is the members that make up the DAO that bring in, grow and circulate the value. And, as the strength of connectivity between members in the DAO continues to grow, we can remove dependency on trust in the system, allowing us to create more trust between ourselves and other people. Ultimately, the system itself truly becomes trustless.
If not, then the DAO is really a DINO— DAO In Name Only…..🤧🤮🤢

Yeah, not too much explaining to do for this one. It’s funny when web2 tone deaf boomers think that a translucent web3 wrapping over web2 works. Because, it really doesn’t….. I mean, even the name, “world coin”….that calls for a galaxy brain meme of just not getting it 😆😂😑
