• How much is the world about to change now that Stable Diffusion, an Open Source diffusion model for text-to-image content, is live?
We don’t think it’s jumping the gun to say that the end of creative content scarcity is either here now or right around the corner. For all of the debates about whether it helps or hurts creators to use advancements in tooling and technology, like the camera or the photocopier or the printing press and now diffusion models, it’s clear that those of us who recognise the power of speaking enchanted and sometimes encrypted stories into visual synthesis will race ahead of those still more indecisive.
Along with web3 maps, a major emphasis of upcoming development is on shortening the time it takes collectors, creators, users and distributors of web3 fashion and related NFTs to reach all of the forms of value that really matter to us. IRL and virtual print and apparel collections that make the ins and outs of prompt engineering with fully open diffusion models both more widely accessible and more resistant to arbitrary censorious overreach will be wearable, tradeable and displayable on the main DIGITALAX website, in many locations on the maps, and in surprising places IRL.

A bit more than a year ago, to many people, Fei seemed like the hot new VC backed “decentralised” DeFi darling. Flash forward to now and “Fei Labs” is withdrawing its affiliations with the DAO, leaving hack victims in the air and the community to fend for itself.
Hitting a billion dollar TVL in a matter of double digit hours isn’t all that impressive when compared to building something actually sustainable. Open experimentation is great, but with the plot armor that VC provides as a shield against accountability, it’s not experimentation, it’s just pretending to be decentralised whilst racing for the exits.
